Greetings!
Just a quick wrap up email from LAN'asplode on the weekend.
Firstly, thanks to Bendigo Party Hire for the tables, as usual.
Thanks to
Atomic MPC Magazine and
Intel for the cool Moore's Law TShirts. Intel doesn't know they've sponsored us, but I'm sure they don't care.
Congratulations to the following comp winners:
"HANDS UP IN THE AIR GAME NOT GIVING IN TO PEER PRESSURE" - Albert (although Phobos claims he didn't give in either). Both got an Intel shirt.
GRID Drift - 1st place Deadman, 2nd place Drewfus. Deadman won a cool little RC car.
HL2DM - 1st place Deadman, 2nd place Drewfus. Deadman won some coke and an intel shirt.
CSS GunGame - 1st place Wraith, who won a Nef Maverick Gun
Armagetron - 1st place Phobos, no idea what he won. It's missing from the list.
Lots of BF Pirates was played, and everyone enjoyed. Also a few other Large Organised Games, which were also enjoyed.
Then there were some smacktard games - Simo's list only specifies winrars for some of them, but regardless
Portal 'Still Alive' recitation thingy - Phobos
Dagger off - no idea.
Dress up as a pirate - I think it went to Wraith, who even coloured his face in with a texta.
Alas, my list of stuff doesn't have the rest of the comps and smacktard stuff on there. But it's not as if anyone is reading down to here anyway!
And lastly, the
Most Playing Playa of the LAN award went to Drewfus, who was almost always playing games! He played in every comp, ever fun game, and some of the smacktard stuff. Bendigo LANs need more people like this.
If you have any comments/criticisms/etc, jump on to the

Thanks to everyone who helped out at the event - organisation was a bit lacking leading up due to various factors, so every bit of help at the event really is appreciated. Especially the select few that hang around to help packup afterwards!
Anyway, I have to go and play some Armagetron during this lecture, so it's time to shut up!
